The Nordic Proposal -theatre collective

We're a group of actor-producers based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

We were formed in 2023 when we started to make and produce our first play The Proposal by Anton Tšehov. It is a one-act farce that transports you to a world where love, misunderstandings, and absurd situations collide.

Though our home countries Denmark and Finland are often recognized as one of the happiest in the world, we can't help but wonder why we don't always express that joy outwardly. Healthy relationships are crucial for a happy life, so we want to know what social life is really like in the Nordics nowadays. We're curious about the Nordic sense of community and how we can strengthen it.  How are we taking care of each other while focusing on achieving success in our individual lives? Finland managed to become a welfare society in less than a century, thanks to strong communities. How does that spirit exist today? We're determined to find answers and explore ways to foster stronger connections and rekindle our sense of togetherness and kindness.
